Henry

I came home to find my two boys bickering over a band they got from my sister in Davao. I asked them why were they fighting when each of them have one. My eldest son told me, he gave his band away and so wanted to borrow his brother's band. I asked him why he gave it away and he said that the band was very much liked by someone so he gave it to her. Now, he felt quite sad and would perhaps want to get it back. My husband was quick to respond and showed him this video. Now, he's all smiles of what he did.

When She Smiles

I thought having two boys was enough for us and seeing my sisters and other friends having baby girls is like " oh-okay" but now that I have Halleia, something in me has changed. She brought that sweet gentle feeling into our home, revives my spirit when I'm down and at the end of day..cuddling her is such a treat...An added bonus- is when she smiles like this :

Oh, please don't think I don't love my boys that much. I love my two boys dearly and they fill my life with so much color..But for the moment..Hallie rocks my world.. :-)

Hallie Again..

My friend Grace made this headband for her

My lil' princess ready for church

I have my own band too..

We received a package from my husband's aunt last November and she sent us lots of yarns in different colors. My mother in-law started making cute hats, I decided to make headbands.. I finally made one and took pictures of Hallie..

Of Christmas Past and Present

The cool morning wind greeted me today on my way to work. I feel that Christmas is really here and I can't help but remember how I used to spend Christmas as a child. Let me take you back to memory lane for a while and tell you what it was like as best as I could. :)

One of my favorite Christmas celebrations was when I was 5 years old..My family lived in a rented house...it wasn't big enough for all of us (six kids plus ma and pa), but the homy atmosphere around the house brought contentment and happiness to me as a child. I remember my father coming home late at night from a party in the office with a prize he got from a raffle. I can still remember how I felt seeing him carry it and how happy we were that he won. It was not the grand prize by the way but for me it was "something". We celebrated Christmas that year having fun singing- my ma and pa has an old record player and they like to keep records of different artists both local and international. My father fixes appliances and that year, he fixed an old microphone which we used in singing.. My family just loved music!

The next Christmas I remember was when I was nine. This time, I got a bag for a present. My younger sis and I got bags with the same design but different colors. We never bought a Christmas tree- Christmas trees at that time were expensive to buy so my Ma would make one. I remember this particular Christmas because she used bond papers to wrap a branch of a tree she picked up outside our home. I have to give credit for her creativity and resourcefulness. We had fun playing parlor games with my sisters-that's a good thing for being six and all girls at that. We laughed and giggled as we played. We danced and sang.

I realized that much of the joy  I felt when I was young was not because of the things I got or the special meal I ate on Christmas. It was the fact that I was with my family and we were happy being together. Now that I am a mother, I felt ever more grateful and thankful to be so because I know that my children will find peace and happiness as I fulfill my role. The Christmas season brings tender feelings into my heart, reminding me of those that really matter because Christmas is in fact an act of love and service from my Savior. It is a celebration of His birth to fulfill Heavenly Father's plan. In Isaiah 9:6 we read For unto us a achild is bborn, unto us a cson is given: and the dgovernment shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, eCounsellor, The fmighty gGod, The heverlasting Father, The Prince of iPeace.

A beautiful reflection

I just would like to share this video on how we ought to react to our day to day activities...At the end of day, it is usually those whom we love need most of our patience and care.

Our lil' Hallie

I took a few photos of Hallie and I just can't get enough of her cuteness.. I used to be oblivious of all those girly stuffs coz I'm so used to toy cars and basketball..Now that I have her, it brings out much of who I am as a girl..

My Halleia Love - She was born August 17, 2011 and she weighed 7.1 lbs. I didn't expect her to weigh more than six pounds since the doc told me my pregnant belly was small for a full term.

My sis gave me this purple dress and though Hallie doen't have much hair yet, she looked like a real princess with this one..:)

Wide awake and it's a beautiful day for me..

I was trying to make her smile and she opened her mouth instead..

I think i finally made her smile though..:)

Do you know what formition means?

Henry is in first grade and he loves to write. Ever since he learned to write and read, we would exchange love notes and I love reading them over and over.
He and his brother share toys and perhaps he had this idea on his mind..he decided to put a note on the box..This is what he wrote...
"Henry and Helaman's toys..If you want to borrow ask formition"
                                                                             by Henry

I asked him what he meant and he said he doesn't know the spelling of permission.. I admired his initiative to spell the word just as how it would have sounded to him..You gotta love my Henry...

Toys in the fridge

I bought the boys chocolate drinks and since they were taking their nap when I got home, I went to the fridge to keep the drinks cold. To my surprise, I saw Helaman's toy cars inside...when he awoke, I asked why those toys are in the fridge and this is what he had to say..Ma, the cars run faster when they are cold!

The Family

I love reading family blogs and yet I never made one for ours..So here's my novice attempt to start our own..Hope all of you enjoy reading..

The boys love pizza and we heard about this shop that just opened quite near our place so we checked it out.

Henry's first school playground presentation

Helaman-my second child has his own antics which are really cute..i'll share some soon

Helaman's the "honeybee" in their primary show and they danced to the tune of "Let me tell you 'bout the birds and the bees!"

Our new addition to the family...Halleiya Love

About a month old, I saw this purple flower headband downtown.. I find it cute on her!

Wide awake Hallie..I wanted to name her Lucy Barbara- the names of my grandparents on both my parents but I also wanted a name that would start with the letter H since my boys are Henry and Helaman..(see the pattern) I found the name Haleiya which means "remembrance of a loved one" I think it just fits...
